International Tokamak Physics Activity

ITPA Divertor and Scrape-Off-Layer expert meeting

Topic

Physics of the tokamak divertor and the SOL are closely linked. The ITPA expert meetings aim at open exchange of information, experiences and ideas, as well as remaining problems and uncertainties.  Based on these results, future code development and validation experiments will be discussed with particular emphasis on experiment coordination between different modelling groups and tokamak teams.

Dipoli  (yellow marker on the map below) is one of the foremost venues in Finland for meetings, seminars, international congresses and festive events. It is in a prime location, sharing in the diverse services on offer in the capital as well as the innovative atmosphere of the scientific community of Otaniemi. The sessions will take place in Hall 4a during 16th and 17th, and in Palaver during 18th and 19th.
